Science is Racist in Dallas!

A County Commissioners meeting in Dallas County ran into a little problem.
You see, Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, a white fellow, was talking about the ability of the central collections office to lose alot of paperwork, specifically discussing traffic tickets and such. He referred to this ability for paperwork to enter the office and disappear as the office becomming "a black hole" of sorts.
Now, Commissioner John Wiley Price, a black guy who understands that everything white people say is racist, interruped Mayfield and said that the office is a "white hole."
Apparently saying the word 'Black' is racist.
Judge Thomas Jones, also black, demanded an apology from Mayfield, a white person, for his "racially insensitive analogy."
Yes.... that's right... the Black Hole, a collapsed star with such density per mass that the gravitational field's strength does not even permit light to escape, is a racist term in Dallas County.
It is apparently, however, ok to refer to White Holes. (Disclosure: The idea for the White Hole Link was not mine, but was linked to in the article as such as well.)
In short...Yes.

I sense the workings of the public education system here.

any stretch to claim racism is valid, in some views.
I recalled those who wanted to gender-neutralize the Bible so that God would not be perceived as a male entity, so I am not surprised attempts to bleach our language of any reference to color no matter the context, would seem perfectly logical to those bent on proving everything has deliberate discriminatory intention.
Oops! Is "bleach" racist?!! Shame on me.

No, 'bleach' refers to white folk, and it isn't racism if you dog white folk.

don't you see? Bleach refers to "whiteness" and "whitening" and when you want to "whiten" something you are automatically being racist, because if you use the word word "white" for any reason, you can only mean *non-black* in a racist way.
By this same token, if you actually use the word "black" as in black hole, you are most certainly racist.
When you get right down to it, aren't white people racist simply because they exist?
As I said, it may seem a stretch to most that anyone would attach a racist connotation to the mention of any color, but I trust Al Sharpton, et al can explain it much better.
He toucheth the mountain - and it smokes
Well, you reminded me of a good point.
You see, people bleach their teeth to make them whiter, as though being not white is somehow bad.

Impeach the 5 usurpers
I used to work for a certain internaitonal video store chain.
While I worked there, at a store in Minneapolis, I had a black fellow come in and wanted to have a bunch of free cases that I had to throw away. We had empty cases for sale, and I told him so, but he wanted these.
I told him that I couldn't give them to him because of corporate policy and that I, even as an employee, wasn't allowed to take them. They had to be destroyed for one reason or another.
He referred to me as a racist, saying that I was just saying that because he's black.
I countered his stupid (yes, stupid) idea by saying that he only suggested that I was racist because I was white. Then I told him to leave as I don't abide racists.
Then he tried the "Why you gotta be like that man? That's how it is huh?" then pouted and whined as he left.

I can't help it. Whomever I end up marrying will just have to accept that there is a soft spot in my heart for her. What a great combination of an incredible mind, sharp wit and a pretty package to contain it all.

Us folks who live on the Fort Worth side of things would agree that Dallas is definitely a hole.

that in Dallas, the term "black hole" has an alternative meaning known only to Mssrs. Price and Jones.
The gentlemen have a hearing problem and thought that this was another 'Imus moment'.
When I read the words "racist" and "Dallas", the first name that came to my mind was John Wiley Price.
OK, team, here's how we solve this problem in Modern America:
Let's assemble a crack team of diversity theory academics, sensitivity trainers, scientists, psychologists, sociologists, linguists, lawyers, pundits, one of Oprah's minions, and five or six people from the Huffington Post. Get a few House members to establish a subcommittee to study it. Then we establish a new foundation and start receiving philanthropic and government grants to investigate the advertency of bias perception in the use of scientific and engineering, astronomical, medical, legal, or any other kind of term during public meetings and official proceedings.
I estimate that we can get at least $25,000 a year for everyone who contributes a few hours of their time writing a paper and drafting the final report; maybe a few all-expense paid trips to Washington to testify before the Committee. That will help them pay their American Express card bills and the tuition for their daughter at Wellesley (who is studying exactly the same thing) at Wellesley.
The most important thing is that a large portion of the Committee's and the study group's funding comes from public sources. That much is crucial. I estimate it'll take a few million to study this "black hole" problem once the true scope of the investigation is expanded to cover the entire lexicon of all the fields I mentioned above (and any I didn't) in the English language.
Could take years, but we're up to that challenge. Now, get cracking, before this thing falls into a black hole -- which according to theory take actual matter and basically compactify and rip it apart violently, under enormous pressure, acting as a kind of universal garbage disposal -- and then redisperse it through the universe as low-level quantum "background noise."
Sort of like what Congress does to your money, so it really all makes sense.
Seriously. Every town does this kind of stuff. My father's on the Board of Health and once told a joke during a meeting and was accused of making a sexist remark by someone who had a friend who wanted his seat (for the monthly paycheck). What should we do? I recommend requiring every meeting of this kind to take place in a room with a huge sledghammer hung on the wall, and require that any time someone does something this stupid, they get hit with it. Repeatedly. Until they die. That'll put a stop to this lunacy -- it won't be pretty, but it'll work.
